JOB PURPOSE

The TSS Trainer is responsible for planning, conducting, coordinating and implementing a comprehensive training program for the sales force. The training components will be geared towards new hires, existing sales staff and sales professionals who seek one-on-one assistance.

The TSS trainer will ensure that Field staff are equipped with the knowledge skills and behaviours required to provide quality sales to our customers, thus increasing the productivity of the sales force.

Key Responsibilities

•   Together with the TSS Manager: identify, recommend and update the content of the TSS program to meet the business strategy
•   Ensure Direct Sales Force’s (DSF) development needs are identified, and gaps closed
•   Plan and Facilitate trainings in accordance with the TSS Curriculum
•   Ensure that the development plan is clearly communicated and owned by the DSF
•   Conduct trainings as per the TSS calendar
•   Provide feedback to management and the Go-To-Market team when required
•   Continuous follow up on the development of the students
•   Build knowledge and a winning culture within the direct sales Force
•   Weekly reporting on the activities that will be taking place
•   Ensure compliance with the TSS Curriculum and alignment with the business strategy
Ensure that top performers are recognized and rewarded accordingly by Tigo

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Degree in Sales/Marketing, Education or Human Resource Management
•   Train the trainer certification will be an added advantage
•   2-3 years’ experience as a trainer or training officer in a business industry environment
•   Experience as a sales or field trainer will be desirable
Experience with MS Power point and Excel

•   Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations
•   Ability to build Tigo’s direct sales forces as Tigo ambassadors
•   Full ability to speak and read in the English language is a must
