Field Ready is an intensive employability programme run by state education institutions. It produces highly employable entry-level engineers/technicians for the industrial sector.

An Alliance of companies – or employers – fund scholarships for students to participate in the programme with a view to hiring them once they are commissioned as 'Field Ready' at the end of their 12-month training. Companies can also join the Alliance as Corporate Partners with an annual subscription. In Ghana, the Field Ready Alliance currently includes companies such as Eni, Tullow Oil, Baker Hughes, Coca Cola and Accra Brewery.

Job Description:

The role of the Scholarship Sales Manager is to secure scholarships from major companies operating in Ghana. This involves account management and new business development with companies across a range of sectors including oil and gas, food processing and telecommunications.

The role is best suited to an experienced sales manager with a proven sales record, ideally with existing relationships at major companies. The Scholarships Sales Manager would be expected to secure at least 20 scholarships a year at a value of $17,000 each. The successful candidate must be confident leading meetings and sales discussions with senior executives.

Key responsibilities:

• Securing scholarships (accountable to targets) from companies for each cohort of Field Ready students
• All new business development and scholarships growth, working with Director of Programmes and Country Chair to identify new companies to join the Alliance
• Securing in-kind and cash sponsorships for equipment, branded Personal Protection Equipment and other sponsorship opportunities
• Account management of clients

Qualification Required & Experience

• Minimum of 5 years proven sales experience
