Job Vacancy For Security Manager



A multinational company is seeking to engage a Security Manager for one its remote site operations.

Main Responsibilities include:

•   Develop, implement and manage the overall company security strategy and its associated architecture
•   Develop and implement policies, standards and guidelines related to company security
•   Respond to incidents that may require managerial supervision and input
•   Guard force planning, management and training to provide efficient and professional security for a multinational company
•   Develop security event response plans and briefings for the company and its contractors focusing on the followings:

o Labour/Striker actions
o Kidnap and attacks
o Hostage situation
o Vehicle accidents

•   Daily security briefings to Mine Operations and Regional Teams
•   Investigate theft and other high level security incidents at the workplace
•   Implement and maintain security incidents managements systems (SIMS).
•   Gather information and forward to the Regional Security Manager on the following:

o Operation personnel situation
o Operation general situation

•   Develop an intelligence network to enable the Security Team plan for upcoming events to reduce impact on operations and production
•   Manage the Global Security Standardization Programme and ensure compliance
•   Provide security awareness briefings to all personnel
•   Develop and brief the force on Security Emergency Response Plans
•   Provide security for VIP visitors where needed
•   Advise senior management regarding security threats and protection strategies.
•   Develop and disseminate security risk reports to the Regional Security Manager
•   Coordinate with the Travel Desk to ensure Security for all personnel
•   Interact with and provide support for matters such as difficult terminations, investigations, special event security, and other security related matters
•   Any other security related task or instruction that may be given to you

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A degree from a recognized tertiary institution with a minimum of 5 years relevant work experience at a similar position or a minimum of ten(10) years Military/ Police experience at a similar position
•   A thorough knowledge of private security standards and procedures
•   Good written and oral command of the English language
•   Multinational cultural experience desirable
•   Excellent staff management skills
•   Good MS Office application knowledge
•   Drive with a valid Ghanaian driving license
