GHS Housing Limited is a dynamic and a fast growing real estate development and civil engineering company located in Pokuase. We are currently looking for young energetic and goal-oriented professionals to fill the following position: Senior Construction Technician / Supervisor

Job Summary / Responsibilities

•   Manage sub-contractors by monitoring, evaluating and controlling their performance
•   Provide directions to all sub-contractors and in-house site operatives
•   Perform setting out, and basic surveying operations
•   Formulate daily construction plan
•   Prepare schedules and assign work to construction personnel
•   Ensure construction work is completed in good time and the set budget adhered to
•   Perform day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labour force and the work of subcontractors
•   Oversee quality control and health and safety matters on site
•   Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise

Qualification Required & Experience

•   HND or first degree in construction management / civil engineering or a related field, with between 2 to 5 years work experience
•   Good communication skills, written and oral, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of other professionals, e.g. construction managers, quantity surveyors, sub-constructors, architects, designers, other engineers
•   Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•   Good negotiation and project management skills
•   Knowledge of relevant building and health and safety legislation
