Job Summary

Chemonics International, a U.S. based international development consulting firm, seeks experienced professionals for an anticipated USAID-funded Learning project to support literacy improvement activities in Ghana. This project is expected to increase early age reading proficiency and provide to support to local government organizations to improve, expand, and sustain reading outcomes through the provision of technical assistance, thereby extending capacity building efforts to the Ministry of Education and its Agencies, as well as selected NGOs.   We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people all around the world.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Advanced degree in education, human or institutional capacity development, adult learning, development or related field.
•   Ten years’ experience in designing and/or implementing capacity building activities in developing countries in or related to improving educational outcomes.
•   Demonstrated knowledge or understanding of central and local policy and institutional context, especially as it related to education management and/or service delivery.
•   Extensive experience in assessing capacity needs and measuring progress in building institutional and human capacity over time.
•   Experience with USAID or other donor-funded programs preferred.
•   Excellent oral and written English.
