Job Title: Senior Electrician

Mission

• Maintain, repair and ensure uninterrupted operation of the unit's electronic and electrical equipment

Scope

• Areas of responsibility cover electrical and instrumentation equipment on whole unit
• Monitoring and troubleshooting of Emergency Shutdown, Fire and Gas Detection systems and ICSS
• Supervise Electrician, Instrument Technician and DCS Technician
• The management may assign additional tasks not listed in job description

Duties

• Follow PTW system, rules, regulations and work procedures applicable to his responsibilities
• To report any hazardous situation or equipment failure to maintenance supervisor as appropriate
• Monitor spare parts inventory related to the area of responsibility
• Undertake training relevant to the position requirements
• Ensure personnel qualifications are established and that each individual is given the opportunity of improvement through selective on the job training
• Member of emergency response team

The maintenance and repair of all electronic and electrical equipment including (not limited to) to:

• High and low voltage systems
• Automation and control systems
• Internal communications equipment
• Deck and cargo monitoring equipment
• Engine room equipment
• Generators and motors
• Computer network

Qualification Required & Experience

• Essential- to meet the standard of competence of electro-technical officer (ETO) STCW code A-III/6
• Permitted to carry out maintenance on HV systems
• 8 years experience on offshore installations
• Standards of competence according to Yinson Competence Assurance Matrix
• Very good written and spoken English
