A private medical laboratory located at Madina New Road, Accra, is currently looking for suitable candidates to fill the following vacancy: Senior Laboratory Technician

Job Summary

•   Serves as the Lead Technician for the laboratory
•   Performing laboratory test in order to produce reliable and precise data to support scientific investigation.
•   Carrying out routine tasks accurately and following strict methodologies to carry out analysis
•   Preparing specimens and samples
•   Maintaining and operating standard laboratory equipment e.g. Chemistry analyzer, hematology analyzer, centrifuge machine, electrophoresis machine etc.
•   Run day to day laboratory duties
•   Outreach services as and when necessary ensuring the laboratory is well stocked and resourced
•   Facility visits to create awareness on available services
•   Supervise other Laboratory Technicians to carry out duties diligently

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Must possess Diploma or Higher qualification in Laboratory Technology from a recognized institution
•   Five or more years post-qualification experience in a medical laboratory setting
•   Good Communication Skills
•   Ability to drive with a valid Driving License
•   Additional skill in the operation of ultrasound scanning machine will be an advantage
