We require creative and enthusiastic individuals to join the Graphic team for a short-term period to collect, write and prepare a variety of stories and produce photographs for inclusion in the newspapers and online both in general areas and areas of specialization.

Job Description:

•   General reportage on events and activities nationwide
•   Conduct interviews on selected political news items
•   Compile stories ready for submitting - Edit prior to submitting and proofreading when required
•   Produce photographs in keeping with house style of the publication to maximize attractiveness to the target audience
•   Write up stories to accompany photographs when required
•   Prepare captions for photographs to communicate the flavour of image

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Degree in Journalism/Mass Communication/photography from a tertiary institution with a minimum of two years experience

OR

•   Diploma in Journalism/photograph from a recognised tertiary institution with a minimum of three (3) years working experience

Skills / Competencies

•   Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•   Good report writing skills
•   Analytical with eye for detail
•   Ability to work to strict deadlines and for long periods
•   Strong computer literacy skills, including page planning
•   Research methodology skills would be desired but not essential
