The Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources is seeking for qualified and experienced professionals to fill the under mentioned vacancy at the Ghana Boundary Commission.

Job Title: Technical Officer (Land Boundaries)

Job Purpose

• To advise and draw strategies to operationalise the plans and programmes of the commission

Main Duties

• Formulates policies and strategies to negotiate with neighboring countries concerning land boundaries between Ghana and that country
• Set up (in collaboration with the relevant institutions) appropriate technical standards and specifications
• Establish channels of communication for negotiations and mediation
• Study existing boundaries, identify flashpoints and make recommendations
• Study international conventions, agreements, rulings and their implications for the work of the commission
• Advise on the use of natural resources that straddle land boundaries
• Undertake any other duties that may be assigned

Qualification Required & Experience

• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline
• Minimum of 10 years of industry related experience of which at least 4 years must be in a senior management level
• A member of a recognised and relevant professional body
