Job Vacancy For Technical Support Coordinator At Ghana AIDS Commission



Objective of Position
To perform activities involved in the technical support planning and co-ordination of the work of Technical Working Groups on HIV & AIDS and other multi-stakeholder coordination groups under the direction and supervision of the Deputy Director of Technical Services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

•   Prepare Concept Notes and Proposals for funding on key areas prioritized in the NSP.
•   Identify, inform and involve relevant country partners in the development and roll out of funded interventions.
•   Facilitate the sharing of information to key stakeholders.
•   Support and coordinate the development and implementation of Technical Support of the regional Technical Support Units (TSUs) of GAC.
•   Assist in advocacy for the effective mainstreaming of technical support planning and reporting into programme activities.
•   Coordinate the implementation of the national technical support plan for HIV&AIDS.
•   Facilitate the regular revision of the national Technical Support Plan for HIV&AIDS and advocating/facilitating wide partner participation and buy-in to identify technical support requirements.
•   Document development of partnerships leading to predictable technical support provision.
•   Support dissemination and technical support follow up action with GAC.
•   Assist in monitoring the implementation of the technical support plan and development of routine reports.
•   Collect, regularly update and analyse data on Technical Support at national and decentralized levels.
•   Perform any other duty as and when required.

Qualification Required & Experience

Direct Entry

•   A minimum of Master’s degree in Business/Public Administration, the Social Sciences or the Health Sciences.
•   A minimum of 5 years relevant post-qualification working experience in project/programme management in the public or private sector or the NGO sector.

Competencies and skills

•   Strong administrative and managerial competencies;
•   Leadership and analytical skills.
•   Considerable technical knowledge and commitment to HIV/AIDS issues;
•   Adequate knowledge of public service administrative and financial regulations.
•   Proficiency in use of computer and internet skills.
