Job Summary

The Training & Competency Superintendent is primary responsible for the development of the short and long-term competencies required to meet business objectives. The T&C Superintendent manages the overall activities involved in the design, preparation, delivery and assessment of training and development programs

Duties and Responsibilities

• Determines the company's needs for training. This includes operational, first-line supervisory, technical, management development, and interpersonal skills and communications training.
• Manages the assigned training/CMS and Team for effectiveness
• Provides input for onshore and offshore training needs as required Designs and implements tailored training as required by the business
• Tracks and reports program evaluations, program effectiveness and current and future competency skills gaps
• May develop and deliver programs such as new employee orientation, performance management and/or organisational development training
• Complies with all applicable MODEC standards and policies
• Assists with the coaching and development of new team members
• Identifies and participates in continuous improvement initiatives
• Promotes privacy awareness, manages and oversees the deployment of Data protection requirements and the company's privacy strategy

Qualification Required & Experience

• Degree in Human Resources Management or learning and development
• Minimum of 10 years post graduate experience in a HR environment
• Experience within a contracting environment within the international oil and gas market is desirable
• Excellent working knowledge of expert systems
• Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including
• T&C best practice
• Organisational diagnosis
• Employee and union relations
• Diversity
• Performance management
• Ideally a member of CIPD or similar
