The Organization:
The Medical and Dental Council is the regulatory body responsible for securing in the public interest the highest standards in the practice of Medicine and Dentistry in Ghana.

Job Summary

In order to improve service delivery the Council intends to recruit the above officers for its Secretariat in Accra and Zonal Secretariats to be created in Tamale and Kumasi.

Reports to: Area Manager

Job Purpose:
To provide efficient and effective administrative service.

Key Responsibilities:

•  Provide advice on operational and administrative matters and participate in the development and implementation of policies, guidelines, procedures and standards for the delivery of effective and efficient service to registered practitioners;
•  Deal with enquiries from staff, healthcare professionals and members of the public
•  Contribute to and ensure the preparation and timely submission of periodic reports

Compensation: Salaries and conditions of service as prevail in the public service. Placement on the Salary scale is negotiable and will depend on experience

Qualification Required & Experience

•  University Diploma/HND (Administration, Management or Marketing)
•  A minimum of 3 years post National Service relevant work experience
•  Knowledge and skill in planning, execution of projects and submission of reports

Overall purpose and responsibilities:
The Administrative Officer will provide an effective and efficient co-ordination of the administration function in the Ghana country office; and ensure a timely, responsive and efficient support to the programme team to enable them plan and implement programme activities. You will also provide specific administrative support to the Country Director.

•  Under the supervision of the Finance and Support Service Manager, you will be responsible for direct office administration and project support.

•  You will need to have a university or tertiary qualification in Management/Administration or equivalent professional qualification from a tertiary institution

Primary Duties:

•  To assist with the daily cash transactions including payment vouchers, staff monthly payroll and tax returns

•  2 years proven experience in an administrative role.
