The successful candidate shall be responsible for guiding the institution in developing an effective credit and policies and creating a quality asset book within a robust and proactive controlled environment so as to realize its revenue targets and also to minimize loan losses. The candidate shall also be responsible for co-coordinating and managing sales and marketing activities of the company for liabilities and loan product.

Key Responsibilities

•   Develop, implement and maintain credit policy, approval processes and monitor all credit activities
•   Review and monitor credit portfolio trends, delinquencies and other relevant credit data and set up and monitor credit quality indicators and standards to ensure that they are within set banking credit standards
•   Manage the collection, recovery and litigation processes to optimize cost effective recovery of overdue payments and cash flow from provisions
•   Develop and implement a strategies sales and marketing plan to achieve assigned volume and revenue targets through expansion of the company’s deposit and savings base and lending product.
•   conduct market surveys to develop market and competitive information / analysis on products to meet corporate objectives
•   Develop and implement market support activities including advertising and promotional materials, messages etc.
•   Ensure that all employees involved in credit and sales and marketing delivery processes are trained and directed / guided to achieve set corporate objectives

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A good first degree in any business related discipline. An MBA in the related discipline will be an added advantage
•   At least 8 years working experience in a similar role
