Requirements

•  A relevant first degree in Business administration, Banking and Finance, Accounting or any other social sciences.
•  MBA in Finance / Economics / Banking
•  At least ten (10) years of demonstrated management experience
•  Excellent time management skills
•  Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
•  Must possess a high sense of integrity
•  Proven comprehensive banking or similar finance experience with a good general knowledge of international business and its practices
•  Proven track record of identifying, negotiating and structuring complex trade transactions across multiple geographies and legal jurisdictions
•  Very strong problem solving skills that can be translated into financial structures with an emphasis on mitigating credit and transaction risks under various trade financing structures.

The Role
The role holder will be primarily responsible for the management of the Real Estate Portfolio and strategy. The individual will also be responsible for all components of property risk.

Key Accountabilities

•  Act as an expert referral point for operations strategy as it relates to property, premises, facilities management and health and safety disciplines.
•  Contribute to the annual and long-term planning and strategy sessions for Operations in the country.
•  Own the Real Estate Financial budget and identify initiatives for reducing costs and initiate projects to implement cost-saving measures.
•  Manage proper governance and controls relating to property management and procurement activity, which are compliant with organization’s guidelines.
•  Develop, agree amd apply appropriate supporting property standards, e.g. density of occupation, reusable standard layouts etc.
•  Drive change initiatives and re-nogotiate stretching service level agreements with suppliers to ensure the internal customer service bar is continuosly raised.

Knowledge & Expertise

•  Ability to identify value destroyers within the process chain or add value to the end to end services offered.
•  Familiar with property rental values, property rental values, property service cost, valuation models, market benchmarks, etc.

•  Detailed understanding of building design and operational standards

Experience & Qualification

•  Tertiary qualification in the building sciences
