The Organization:
The Medical and Dental Council is the regulatory body responsible for securing in the public interest the highest standards in the practice of Medicine and Dentistry in Ghana.

Job Summary

In order to improve service delivery the Council intends to recruit the above officers for its Secretariat in Accra and Zonal Secretariats to be created in Tamale and Kumasi.

Reports to: Transport Officer

Job Purpose:
To convey staff and authorised clients in a vehicle to specific destinations.

Key Responsibilities:

•  Ensure daily vehicle checks as required (e.g. check the conditions of the vehicle; the brakes, tyres, level of fuel, lubricants, and cleanliness of the vehicle)
•  Transport staff and any authorised persons to and from various locations within and outside the facility in a prompt and efficient manner, ensuring their safety and comfort;

Compensation: Salaries and conditions of service as prevail in the public service. Placement on the Salary scale is negotiable and will depend on experience

Qualification Required & Experience

•  Secondary School Certificate; GCE ‘O’ Level/SSSCE/WASSCE at least 4 passes including English Language with a Driving Licence not below category D3
•  Proven evidence of 3 years driving experience after aquisition of Driving Licence
•  Knowledge of Ghana road traffic rules and regulations, transport policy guidelines and protocols;
•  Ability to read and write simple English and provide basic written report when required;
•  Physically fit and capable of undertaking strenuous duties, cope with physical aspects of the job e.g. lifting/handling of minor equipment and office consumables
