Position: PLANT FITTER
Key Responsibilities:
• Diagnose, overhaul, repair, and maintain plant equipment;
• Use fault finding techniques and instruments to detect faults on mechanical systems, hydraulic systems of plant equipment;
• Overhaul pumps, install pumps, repair ball and rod mills, repair crushers, install plant and equipment;
• Assemble and fit machined parts using drill holes and tap threads, if necessary, for bolting parts together;
• Perform other related mechanical work as mat be required.
Qualification Required & Experience
• Mechanical Engineering Technician (MET I) Certificate or Technical Institute Certificate;
• Recognised trade certificate as a Mechanical Fitter;
• Professional and Technical Mechanical knowledge in Process Plant;
• Advance experience in tribology operational principles, lubrication and hydraulic systems;
• Minimum of three (3) years’ post qualification work experience as a Mechanic in a processing plant;
• A valid Ghanaian driver’s license will be advantageous;
• Excellent Diagnostic skill;
• Knowledge of standard materials, tools and equipment;
• Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic equipment
