Job Title:  Electro-mechanical technician (generators / sets expert)

Job Description:

•   Responsible for the supervision, monitoring and maintenance of electro-mechanical equipment and systems such us
generator, generator sets, forklifts, and scissors of the equipment and machinery fleet of the company. Supervise the     machinery and equipment fleet with reports and service sheets including the spare parts used.
•   Working with service manuals and test equipment on line with the recommendations to carry out repairs as required.
•   Completing written reports onsite for the customer and electronic for warrantable issues.
•   Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service generators.
•   Carry out the required daily tasks in an effective and efficient manner
•   Troubleshooting electrical and mechincal faults on company generators from 7 kWA up to 1600kVA
•   Maintain a high level of housekeeping in workshop and working areas at all times.
•   Must ensure inspections and safety checks are carried out on all equipment before use.
•   Plan the day to day maintenance activities and supervise them to ensure effective implementation

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Good level of Spanish will be an advantage.
•   Age between 22 and 35 years old.
•   Sound relevant academic and training qualification for the position. Over 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
•   Applicant must possess BSc (Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent from institution known.
•   High degree of orientation to customer service and high commitment and involvement within the company.
•   Driver’s license. Holding a truck license will be a plus.
•   Experience with forklifts, scissors electrical systems, manual changeovers and automatic transfer switches be an advantage
•   Trained and previous experience working on Perkins engines, DSE controllers and Mecce alte / Stamford alternators.
•   Electromechanical and Industrial specialty knowledge in hydraulics and mechanics.
•   Able to multi-task efficiently and work well under pressure. Self-starter that will work with little supervision
•   Familiarity with special tools and applications in the electro-mechanical field of generators sets.
•   Efficient knowledge and management of Microsoft Office programs.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   HND Mechanical Engineering, with 6+ years post qualification experience in the management, scheduling, and maintenance of construction equipment or,
•   Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (KNUST), with 6+ years post qualification experience in the management, scheduling, and maintenance of construction equipment
•   Mechanical Engineering/Motor Vehicle Certification is a plus.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

•   Must be computer literate, and very familiar with the use of Microsoft excel and word
•   Must have the ability to read and interpret wiring/circuit, mechanical drawing /diagrams.
