As a member of the Management team, the successful candidate will be expected to play a pivotal role in developing and implementing the Human Resource and Administrative Strategies of the Institute and ensure the best operation of its systems and structures.

Reports to the Director

Key Responsibilities:

•  Develop a Human Resource Strategic framework which support the immediate, medium and long-term objectives of the Institute
•  Develop, harmonise and implement common HR policies
•  Establish people planning and recruitment, career development and succession plans which allow for perpetual renewal of ideas and dynamism in the Institute
•  Develop and implement employee communication systems
•  Lead the implementation of performance improvement systems
•  Design, implement and manage reward and remuneration systems to attract, develop, motivate and retain employees
•  Develop and implement administrative policies, structures, systems and processes
•  Responsible for developing responses to all safety, health and environmental issues
•  Responsible for Facilities Management and General Services

Duty Post: Tamale, with working visits to Accra and GILLBT project areas if need be

Qualification Required & Experience

•  A degree in Human Resource Management, General Administration or Social Sciences with (3) years relevant experience
•  An MBA in Human Resource Management will be an added advantage

•  Must have the fair to analyse and report on variances and set targets
