Key Task and Responsibilities / Technical Competency

•   Technical knowledge in Garment production – sample making ; pattern making and grading, cutting, sewing/assembling, pressing/finishing: Quality inspection, Packaging & Distribution

•   A minimum of a good first degree in Fashion Design with a minimum of three years experience or degree in Home Economics (clothing) with five (5) years sewing experience in a garment production environment in both men and women fashion.

•   Managerial – ability to manage a mini production facility

•   Administrative work – able to keep accurate records and make simple calculations

Key Task

•   Production of Men’s shirt – from patterns to cutting, assembling to finishing and final packaging
•   Selection of fabric for all ready to wear (R2W) categories
•   Placing of order for local R2W with 3rd Parties suppliers
•   Negotiation of sewing cost for R2W produced by third parties
•   Maintenance of quality for all local R2W
•   Involve in the Selection of design for R2W
•   Costing of R2W items for approval
•   Ensuring the regular maintenance of all Production equipment
•   Creation of codes for new items produced

Key Accountabilities

Management
Functionally manage the shop floor VM operators

VM Execution shop floor

•   Fulfull the VM activity planning into the 52week marketing activity plan
•   Design visual and textual VM instructions to VM shop floor staff, in line with the 52week activity planning.
•   Send VM instructions and ensure OTIF delivery of VM materials needed
•   Send out instructions and manage visual information feedback loop to check implementation

Environment concept development

•   Support the concept development and implementation of environment strategies, in particular for visual merchandising elements
•   Set up and implement year planss for the key areas of the VM, including budgets, in line with the strategy of the department
•   Give input for environment for the 52week calender

Visual Merchandising Plan

•   Develop and implement the yearly Visual Merchandising Plan which includes the management and presentation of goods within both the store (shelf management) and in the Store windows as well as the presentation of displays
•   Implement the yearly visual merchandising plan and adapt, when necessary, in case of unforeseen events
•   Supervise the implementation of the VM plan in stores and reports on its progress

Visual Merchandising Guideline / Training and Advice

•   Develop Visual Merchandising guideline in line with company vision on the aspired look and feel
•   Communicate the visual merchandising guidelines by developing practical and easy to understand information material for the stores
•   Organize and give training sessions for store employees on the correct use of the VM guidelines (Online)
•   Provide periodic seasonal guidance and training in VM techniques (online)
•   Advise with buy-in and replenishment the assortment for retail (inclusive e-shop) to achieve a good visual presentation
•   Provide visual merchandising support to online presentations

Availability Visual Merchandising Materials

•   Translate seasonal concept into product photograpy, window decorations for retail, guidance on product presentation
•   Create and implement the visual merchandising handwriting based on the brand DNA
•   Source and supervise all production and execution of all VM materials

Store and Budget Monitoring

•   Provide budget estimates for all VM tools, monitors and controls allocated budgets for the development of VM tools as agreed with the manager
•   Prepare, support and implement refurbishments within store presentations

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Bachelor in Fashion Design/Brand Management
•   Minimum of 3-5 years experience in visual merchandising
•   African market knowledge
•   Experience in VM concept development and execution
•   Awareness on trends in retail & fashion
•   Expertise in windows dressing
