Main Duties & Responsibilities

•   Ensure the availability and provision of marine, aviation, land transport, and warehousing/yard operations in line with operational requirements, as well as lifting and personnel movements and materials management in conjunction, cooperation, and support of logistics-based management. •   Provide technical logistics advice and support to the business units, development project teams, and group functions as appropriate to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective logistics operations and strategies for current operations and / or new projects.
•   Liaise with group and SCM EHS advisors with respect to logistics risk assessments, logistics supplier education, logistics incident management, and logistics incident investigation.
•   Manage the group materials management team and develop an overall logistics operating model for the business unit.
•   Provide management and strategic direction of direct reports and cooperative interface with peers to ensure proactive delivery of logistics services.
Support group and BU national content teams in developing opportunities to maximise national content opportunities in logistics.
•   Demonstrate   a   personal   commitment   to   health,   safety,   and   the environment.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Minimum 15 years experience in oilfield logistics.
•   Degree or diploma in relevant business subject preferred – logistics qualifications desirable.
•   Extensive exposure to ail aspects of major infrastructure or industrial development projects and operational logistics including international freight forwarding, customs clearance, yard and warehouse organisation & management, inland transportation, aviation, road, and marine activities. Practical experience in development, implementation, and cost control of logistics operations and effectively balancing costs, services, and HSE / quality requirements.
•   Track record of managing a range of logistics suppliers in oil or heavy industrial environments across different logistics modes. Experience in Working in remote or difficult locations independently with minimal supervision.
•   Must have organisation, negotiation, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
•   Able to manage/ drive change combined with high levels of commercial political savvy.

•  Responsible for tie-down of pumping units and installing counter weights for balancing pumping units

•  Clean up oil spills
•  Must be proficient with all tools including air and electrical

•  The person must work for oil rigs must complete more extensive training than those that work for circus companies.
•  To remain competitive in the field the person must often complete additional training in a specific area.

•  High proficiency with IT and industry software including: MS Suite, Landmark
•  Experience within the last five years in water depths greater than 800 metres
•  Knowledge and experience of running of Cased Hole Frac Packs, subsea well testing, and subsea tree landing string systems
•  Work experience in remote locates and knowledge of work environments in West Africa

•  Supervision skills

•  Knowledge of Commodity markets and price trends, various grades, qualities, and varieties of materials, supplies, and equipment
•  High negotiation skills and the ability to understand what is negotiable in line with Company targets
