Purpose

• To supervise the processes for the articulation of transfer credits, graduation and certification of diploma and associate degrees, enrollment and degree verification, production of official transcripts, diplomas and matriculation ceremonies
• To counsel and advise students, faculty and staff on academic matter and interprets and enforces policies and regulations of the University
• Additionally chairs all committees concerned with registration, credit, grade appeal, matriculation and residence

Qualification Required & Experience

• A first degree in a relevant field
• A masters in Philosophy is an added advantage
• Preferred 8 years of direct experience in a higher education institution / in a university’s registrar’s office
• Proven record of successful supervisory experience in a people-oriented environment

• Ensuring that any disciplinary action imposed on any students by the recognised authority of the university are compiled with
• Giving permission to students to go on protest marches and demonstrations whether within or outside the university

Qualification Required & Experience

• Must have a Masters or PHD in higher education or a related field
• Record of successful academic accomplishments

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years experience in a student focused academic administrative, advisory or management responsibility
• Experience in academic planning, programme and policy development and leadership
• Be of unblemished character and have a high degree of personal integrity
