1. Project Overview

• Fuertza invites qualified construction firms to submit bids for the turnkey construction of a 120 sqm Community Library in Danku. The library will be built using hollow brick masonry and sustainable, locally sourced materials. This project is part of the Oasis Initiative to empower communities through women?led, cost?effective educational infrastructure.

2. Scope of Work

• Site Preparation: Clearing, leveling, and foundation works.
• Superstructure: Erect 120 sqm walls with hollow bricks, reinforced concrete columns and beam framework.

Roofing: Timber framing and corrugated metal sheet roofing with waterproofing.
Openings: Installation of wooden frame jalousie windows and solid-core doors.
Finishes: Internal/external plaster, painting, and screed flooring.
Utilities: Rough?in for solar?ready electrical conduits, gutters, and basic lighting fixtures.
Attachments: One literacy corner with built?in shelving and seating areas.
Site Cleanup & Handover: Final cleaning and defects?liability walkthrough.

3. Mandatory Submission Requirements

• Company Profile: Incorporation certificate, years in business, key personnel.
• Experience: At least three (3) references of similar projects (community buildings or libraries).
• Technical Proposal: Methodology, materials specification (hollow brick details), construction schedule.
• Financial Proposal: Detailed Bill of Quantities (BoQ) and lump?sum bid, inclusive of labor, materials, equipment, mobilization, and demobilization.
• Compliance: Proof of registration with Ghana’s Public Procurement Authority (PPA) or equivalent, tax clearance certificate, and valid liability insurance.
• Local Content: Plan for employing at least 70% local labor, including women builders.

4. Evaluation Criteria

• Technical Capability (40%): Demonstrated experience, methodology, and proposed timeframe.
• Financial Competitiveness (30%): Value for money, clear BoQ, and cost control measures.
• Local Engagement (20%): Commitment to local labor and capacity building.
• Sustainability & Quality (10%): Use of sustainable materials and quality assurance measures.
