Purpose Of The Position:-

The successful candidate shall be responsible for supervising the operations department of the company and deputise for the Managing Director in his adsense.

Key Responsibilities:-

•  Liaise with the HR and Admin Manager for recruitment and Training of guards
•  Formulate and implement all security policies / procedures regarding security breaches, crime and investigations and ensure strict compliance for the company.
•  Ensure consistent improvement in security deliverables such as background checks, audit and investigations.
•  Co-ordinate investigations of security incidents and recommend improvements
•  Ensure that appropriate devices and resources are procured for the efficient and effective running of the department.
•  Serve as a liaison and maintain a strong bond with key regulator – Ghana Police, Military, Bureau of National investigation, Judiciary, Ministry Of interior etc.
•  Provide advice to stakeholders based on intelligence gathered from investigations.
•  Compile and submit monthly, quarterly and annual reports on security for the group
•  Supervise preparation of work schedules of guards to ensure optimal deployment
•  Supervise activities of the operations control room

Qualification Required & Experience

•  Minimum of a 1st Degree in a security related field
•  Must have attained the rank of major or above for military (preferably worked with defence intelligence or Military Police) or ASP or above for police / intelligence services
•  Knowledgeable in the operations of security systems such as CCTV etc.
•  At least ten (10) years relevant security experience (3 of which should have been in a managerial position).
•  Sound investigative and reporting skills
•  Proven leadership, interpersonal and organisational skills
•  Excellent communication skills
•  Adept at Microsoft office suite
•  Medically and physically fit for the position
•  Possession of a high sense of integrity

•  Plans, programs for, and directs the Company’s emergency response program as it pertains to security, liaison with local law enforcement,
•  Ensure all patrolling, inspection and security duties are performed to a high standard
•  Monitor and maintain all product and performance standards and ensure action is taken when standards are not met
•  Advise management in improving and carrying out policies in accordance with security and institutional, state and federal regulations.
•  Perform site audits in order to eliminate potential theft implications and determine how to make premises and grounds safe and secure.
•  Maintain the loyalty and discipline of all security personnel
•  Ensure the all security personnel as well as security contractors’ staff are adhering to security procedures
•  Liaison officer to our security contractors and sub-contractors
•  Establish good cooperation with privileges clients or suppliers

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•  To ensure strict adherence of company’s H, S &W and absolute rules at all times.
•  To report and document any incident or accident occurred.
•  Follow safety and hazardous instructions before start of work.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Qualification Required & Experience

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS

•  Security professional with a proven management experience within the security industry, the public sector or armed services.
•  A minimum of a Diploma/HND or its equivalent.

EXPERIENCE

At least 2 years experience in security management in a large organisation

Reporting to the Field Coordinator, and working closely with the HSP Programme Manager, the Field Specialist will lead the implementation and coordination of Human Security programme in Yendi and Tamale. Under the supervision of the Field Coordinator, the incumbent will be responsible for:

Key Tasks:

•  Work closely with the Field Programme Coordinator to ensure effective and efficient management, planning and implementation of human security interventions in assigned programme site
•  Through participatory approaches mobilize communities to identify locality specific human security challenges and lead formulation of evidence based responses, including periodic review of progress made in addressing human security threats by an with participating communities, in close consultation with Municipal Human Security Coordination Teams
•  Assist in promoting the strategies for joint programming, ensuring synergies and complementarities within the framework of “protection” and “empowerment”
•  Create mechanisms for participatory planning and management of the human security programme and promote local ownership
•  Coordinate quarterly meeting of the Human Security Coordinating meeting in Tamale and Yendi to ensure HSP concept is mainstreamed at the local level
•  Provide technical support to the respective Municipal/Metropolitan Assemblies through the Municipal Human Security Coordinating Teams in identifying, documenting and sharing information on emerging human security threats and other developmental challenges

Qualification Required & Experience

Competencies:
