Job Description:

The Deputy Rector acts in the absence of the Rector and carries out such academic and administrative duties as the fatter shall determine. As GIMPA’s chief academic officer, the Deputy Rector 15 expected to lead efforts that focus on student and faculty success. Collaborating with the Rector, the Academic Board, and the Executive Management Committee, the Deputy Rector will provide leadership and direction concerning academic operations, which includes academic planning, programme development, student affairs,library and the academic registry, while enhancing transparency, trust and collegiahty. The position also entails working closely with the Consultancy-Unit and training centers to ensure the effective development of training programmes and applied research to meet industry and public sector needs.

A successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to engage faculty, employees and students to ensure learners are supported and empowered for success. In addition, an ability to lead, guide and coach full-time faculty, adjunct faculty and staff is essential.

Qualification Required & Experience

The candidate must have the following:

•   Ph.D. from an accredited institution,
•   Record of teaching and scholarship commensurate with appointment as an associate or fult professor in an academic department at GIMPA,
