Job Description

The Palladium Group with funding from DFID request for application from qualified individuals to fill vacant position on the Ghana Adolescent Reproductive Health (GHARH) Project.

Position Summary:

•   The Training Coordinator (TC) on the Adolescent Reproductive Health (GHARH) Project in Ghana will be based in Sunyani, Brong Ahafo.
•   The TC is to ensure the smooth and effective implementation of training events for all partners.
•   The TC will coordinate the management design, and delivery of large/ small scale training programmes.
•   The PC will work with the Capacity Building Adviser to map out and schedule
•   all capacity related trainings for partners in line with DFID and the Palladium Group policies and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

This is full-time position and will report directly to the Capacity Building Adviser on key capacity building technical issues.There will be a secondary reporting line between the Training Coordinator and
GHARH Regional Representative for all administrative responsibilities within the region

•   Assist with the mapping out of training plans for all partners,
•   Support to conduct organisation wide needs assessment and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed
•   Support the design and development at training programmes (outsourced or in-house)
•   Ensure appropriate training methods are employed for each case (simulations, mentoring, on the job training, professional development classes)
•   Follow up on training programmes and document the changes and expected impact
•   Assess instructional effectiveness and summarise evaluation, reports, determining the impact of training on partner employee skills and how it affects Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
•   Partner with internal stakeholders and liaise with subject matter experts regarding instructional design
•   Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment
•   Ensure that trainings are not one-off, but instead followed up with regular refresher training and supervision as appropriate.
•   Ensure training materials are updated regularly as required
•   Maintain training calendar and other relevant training records
•   Contribute to quarterly and annual project reporting
•   Other tasks as determined by Team Leader and LTTA for Capacity Building.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   University bachelor’s degree in a related field
•   At least three years work experience in a training coordination role
•   Experience with instruction or training
•   Knowledge of adult instructional and learning theory and principles
•   Knowledge of instructional design and training methodologies
•   Ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders, including project partners, donors, private sector, NGOs, and government departments/ district assemblies
•   Strong results orientation and commitment to accountability and value for money

Job Description

Context for the Officer:

The GHARH Project has begun disbursing grant funds to beneficiary District Assemblies in Brong Ahafo Region based on an agreed workplan. A major component of the project support is to conduct
operational research whose findings will guide the design of additional intervention under the GHARH project. In order to track project performance and reporting based on agreed logframe a project monitoring and evaluation plan has been developed. The M&E officers will support the M&E Coordinator to implement the plan. These are full time positions and will be based in Sunyani, Brong Ahafo region.

Position Summary:

The Monitoring & Evaluation Officer will coordinate and conduct monitoring & evaluation activities that provides quality data to support and enhance decision-making, strategic planning, outcomes assessment and internal and external reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Under the direct supervision of the Monitoring and Evaluation. Coordinator, the Monitoring & Evaluation Officer will be responsible for the following duties:

•   Contribute to quarterly and annual reporting
•   Provide input to research and knowledge management related activities.
•   Ensure reports are of appropriate quality, prior to finalisation
•   Support the implementation of the M&E plan
•   Liaise closely with the M&E Coordinator to conduct routine and comprehensive data quality assessment as well as research activities when the need arises
•   Maintain the quality of information, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, standardisation and completeness
•   Ensure faulty data is brought to the attention of the M&E
•   Coordinator, corrected and the concerned parties notified.
•   Serve as a resource person in areas of data collection, management and reporting, as well as performing special projects and other duties as assigned.
•   Analyse and report data to internal and external constituencies:
•   Develop and implement processes for linking and analysing data from a variety of sources: apply statistical techniques to analyse trends.
•   Prepare data for annual reviews, programm specifics reviews, and the project completion report
•   Support the M&E  Coordinator, Regional, Representative and team
•   Leader to work closely with the independent evaluation team, providing data as required and ensuring finding from the process evaluation are incorporated into programme activities and policies as appropriate
•   Provide technical support to project partners for the use of M&E data and information
•   Contribute to evaluation research on the effectiveness and/or cost-effectiveness of programmes including secondary analysis of existing data
•   Support M&E Coordinator to provide capacity development of relevant counterparts conduct trainings for other personnel as needed to fully educate on efficient, effective monitoring and evaluation systems, as well as policy and procedure awareness and compliance.

Period of Engagement:

•   This is a full time positions which takes effect from September 2015
•   Maximum period to end of March 2017 with annual contract renewals based on performance

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in statistics, economics, mathematics and other related fields
•   At least five years working experience as an M&E Officer for major donor funded project (DFID, USAID) or public service agency,
•   Experience of adolescent reproductive health policies and planning initiatives
•   Experience working in local government/ decentralised system
•   Good knowledge of Ghanaian culture and traditional systems.
•   Ability to liaise effectively a range stakeholders, including project partners, donors, private sector. NGOs, and government departments/district assemblies
•   Strong results orientation and commitment to accountability and value for money

Job Summary

•   Christian Aid Ghana is looking for a highly qualified project officer who will assist the Programme Coordinator for a DFID funded FP2020 programme.

•   You will travel to the field 50 % of your time.

The Responsibilities:

The Head of Programme (HoP) is functionally accountable to the Country Director. Project Description:    

The Resiliency in Northern Ghana (RING) project is a 5-year integrated project funded by the USAID Feed the Future (FtF) Initiative and is designed to contribute to Government of Ghana (GoG) efforts to sustainably reduce poverty and improve the nutritional status of vulnerable populations. The goal of RING is improved livelihoods and nutritional status of households in Ghana.

Job Title: M & E Specialist
Reporting Relationship: M & E Specialist reports to the Chief of Party

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

The Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist will do the following:

•   Provide technical leadership and support in M&E related activities including strategic planning, metrics and tools development, data analysis, performance reporting, communication and M&E capacity building of staff and country counterpart’s.
•   Provide support to Chief of Party to ensure the capture of all necessary information from both routine reporting and ad hoc data collection efforts.
•   Design and supervise the implementation of periodic surveys, analyze information and inform internal and external partners about project activities and accomplishments.
•   Prepare quarterly and annual reports, M&E reports as appropriate and provide insight on the project performance management trends.
•   Review M&E indicators and suggest adjustments to ensure the indicators remain SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Time bound) with CAPAS (Corrective Actions/ Preventive Actions) as activities and plans roll out and evolve.
•   Coordinate the development and update of RING’s Performance Management Plan (PMP) and provide technical assistance in the overall implementation of the PMP.
•   Ensure compliance with USAID policies and regulations in relation to M&E activities.
•   Formulate project-level performance management plans to track milestones and report on selected standard performance indicators.
•   Ensure that appropriate data collection procedures are used including M&E data tracking system methods for data quality checks.
•   Report indicators in USAID TraiNet system and keep training activities’ records as needed.
•   Collaborate with other RING team members, Technical Support Services (METSS), and other RING implementing partners to determine, validate, maintain, and update the geographically referenced database of performance indicators and other information required for the PMP and GIS.
•   Conduct periodic site visits to assess partner and Government of Ghana (GoG) data collection methods, and provide technical assistance to implementing partners; and provide written and oral reports to Supervisor on progress, impact, problems and constraints encountered, and opportunities.
•   Review project/activity/program statements of work and program descriptions to ensure that methods to measure performance results are adequate and feasible.
•   Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the Chief of Party.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Master’s Degree in business administration, Project Management, Statistics or related area of study preferred and a minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible work experience managing the M&E needs of complex projects of similar sizes.

OR:

•   Bachelor’s degree and ten (10) years of relevant experience in similar programs with an understanding of key development sectors including but not limited to health, nutrition, livelihood agriculture and WASH .
•   Minimum five of years of Monitoring and Evaluation experience at the supervisory level and demonstrated experience as an effective Team Player.
•   Excellent English writing and verbal communication skills.
•   Knowledge and experience working with USAID projects, M&E standards and guidelines.
•   Qualitative and quantitative research skills and experience including design and implementation of surveys, focus group discussions, interviews, data presentation, and results dissemination.
•   Experienced with community-based interventions, including community mobilization and/or social and behavioral change communication implemented within public, private and civil society-led systems, agriculture, WASH, health and/or nutrition programs implemented in developing country settings.
•   Fluent with Microsoft Suite, graphics, spreadsheet, database, and statistical software packages.

Job Title: National Network Coordinator, WANEP -Ghana

Job Summary

The National Network Coordinator is the Chief Executive Officer of the Organisation. She/he is responsible for Managing the overall program portfolio of the Organization, including leading program planning, proposal writing/fund raising, budgeting, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•   Develop a national network strategy in coordination with member organizations and lead on the implementation of the strategy
•   Ensure communication flow between national board and seek their advise for the effective coordination of the network
•   Support network members in the implementation of their respective programs in peacebuilding and conflict prevention
•   Sustain regular communication with regional office and member organisations
•   Develop strategic partnerships with CSOs, INGOs, UN bodies, Bilateral Organizations and other relevant stakeholders
•   Develop fundraising strategies in collaboration with member organizations, regional secretariat to sustain and diversify funding sources at the national network
•   Work closely with WANEP Regional Secretariat, and ECOWAS liaison office in conflict prevention efforts in Africa
•   Facilitate strategic partnership and collaboration with National, Regional and District Peace Councils
•   Facilitate strategic partnership and collaboration with state security agencies particularly, the Ghana police service in implementing the mandate of the National Early Warning and Response System

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Advance University degree in development, peace and conflict studies or other related field of study.
•   Minimum of five (5) years experience in NGO work; three of which should be at senior management level
•   Demonstrated experience in proposal writing and fund raising
•   Excellent presentation and writing skills
•   Strong team leader: able to inspire; lead team in an empowering manner and motivate other team members to excel in their roles
•   Computer literate particular in MS Office applications

Job Summary

World Vision Ghana (WVG) is looking for a highly qualified, proactive, motivated and resourceful person to fill the position of Project Coordinator for the Cocoa Life Project – Cohort Three (3).

Purpose of Position

This position will coordinate the design and implementation of Cocoa Life programs in designated operational areas. The position will build the capacity of Development Facilitators, Children, other vulnerable groups, Community Based Organizations, local government agencies and other service providers to implement Cocoa Life Programme. He/she will facilitate learning, documentation and linkages of local level advocacy issues to Cocoa Life.

The Package

Key Responsibilities

•   Engage in the development and implementation of a quarterly work plans.
•   Implement elements of the Cocoa Life program in selected cocoa communities.

•   Work in partnership with Area Projects to ensure alignment of Cocoa Life programs with World Vision Ghana Strategic Directions.
•   Document best local level practices and facilitate learning for increased uptake and impact on child wellbeing outcomes.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Degree in Community/Integrated Development Studies, Sociology or other related field.
•   Minimum 3-4 years community development experience.
•   Significant experience in local level advocacy, especially Rights Based Programming Approaches.
•   Strong understanding of transformational development and frameworks.
•   Significant experience in capacity building.
•   Project Management skills.
•   Must be willing to live and work in the Project Location.
•   Demonstrate commitment to the empowerment of the poor in rural communities.
•   Must be a committed Christian, able to stand above denominational diversities.
•   Ability to speak any of the following local languages is an advantage (Twi or Fante).
•   Skills in networking and coalition building at multi-national level.
