Role Purpose
The core responsibilities of the Churn and Retentions Manager will encompass the following:
• Analysing and understanding of all aspects of the customer life cycle, to reduce customer churn;
• Learning best practices in churn prevention, specifically in the industries of telecom and
• Implementing programs and changing business rules to accomplish churn reduction.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and manage the successful implementation of anti-churn offers;
• Define targets & filters based on ARPU/segment, inactivity, product utilization levels and other relevant criteria for all anti-churn offers.
• Manage segments on churn subs and ensure a reduction in churn among the High Value base;
• Manage & update a complete KPI dashboard to track anti-churn program performance;
• Create and understand segment behavior of churning customers;
• Analyse reasons customers churn and all associated customer data;
• Understand existing business rules and operations relating to customer lifecycle and recommend improvements where necessary;
• Develop and implement retention programs;
• Stay current on all related industry best practices relating to customer retention and
• Develop and create detailed visibility reporting on churn metrics and retention program results.
Qualification Required & Experience
• Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or a related field preferred;
• Minimum of two (2+) years’ experience in a similar role with demonstrable analytical capabilities;
• Comprehensive offer design experience, with full knowledge of analytical methodologies and scenario modeling;
• Exceptional analytical, conceptual and problem-solving abilities;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Ability to work under pressure and time constraints;
• Ability to work effectively with a wide range of cultures in a diverse community. Knowledge of telecom business will be an added advantage.
